Location!
"400th
Anniversary of the Exploration of the Hudson River by Henry Hudson"
New York's 4th of July Macy's Fireworks
Spectacular is moving across town in 2009 — Fireworks will
be over the Hudson River instead of the East River (in celebration
of the 400th
Anniversary of the exploration
of the Hudson River by Henry Hudson).
This FUN New
York City event features
live entertainment, including a musical score by the New
York Pops. The
26-minute Fireworks Display will be set off from six barges
positioned between
24th and 50th Streets on the Hudson River at approximately
9pm. Manhattan's West
Side and New Jersey both offer the best views.
Note: In 2010, the
Fireworks will return to their regular location, launching
from four barges stationed
between 23rd and 42nd Streets over the East River,
