On the streets of New York since 1762, NY's St. Patrick's Day Parade is the oldest, largest and most famous of the annual parades held in the city. The parade, featuring bag pipers, step dancers, pipe bands, and high school bands marches up 5th Avenue, from 44th to 86th streets. Head toward the north end of the parade route to get the best views. Note: There's a good chance that the parade will be televised, so if you don't like crowds, or the weather isn't cooperating, stay home and watch in comfort.

"St. Patrick's Celebration on the River" takes place on Friday and Saturday, March 15-16th. Enjoy Savannah's southern hospitality at one of the largest festivals in the Southeast.
