Chicken Wings for Super Bowl Party

Did you know...
Super Bowl Sunday is the second-largest day for U.S. food consumption after Thanksgiving.

Super Bowl Party Food Tips
Keep your Super Bowl Party simple and FUN — make a few dishes ahead of time, so you won't be in the kitchen preparing food instead of watching the game. Better yet, make it a Pot Luck.

Great Chicken Wing Places in the U.S.

Super Bowl Party Food - BBQ Ribs

Serve up all-American Ribs (Short Ribs, Spareribs and Baby-Backs). Make up a big platter of tasty Nachos topped with Taco Sauce and Guacamole. Whip up a big batch of Spicy Chili, or order a Pizza (Costco's Pizzas are tasty and good value). Potato Skins are always fun — if you don't want to make them, you can pick them up at your local supermarket. Mini Sliders and Subway Sandwiches are great too!

A day or two before the game, make a Costco and/or Trader Joe's runboth places offer a huge variety of hearty Hors d'oeuvres (great Guacamole, Dips, Salsas and Chicken Wings), Baked Sweet Potato Fries, Chilled Jumbo Shrimp, Fun Party Trays (Fruit, Cheese, Wraps, Veges, Sushi), Munchies (Chips, Pretzels, Nuts, Candy)... and amazing Desserts — Cookies, Cakes, Pies, Ice Cream and yummy Brownie Bites.

Looking for a healthy alternative? Roast up a few trays of assorted vegetables (we like asparagus, mushrooms, peppers, brussels sprouts, eggplant, brocoli, cauliflower, butternut squash)... top with a little olive oil, salt, fresh ground pepper, garlic and cumin or tumeric to spice it up a bit — delicious!

Super Bowl Beer & Wine
Purchase Beer in bulk at Costco, or have each of your guests bring a six-pack... or two. Plan on at least one six-pack per two-to-three people.

Buy a case of Charles Shaw "Two-Buck Chuck" wines from Trader Joe's — at under $30, it's an excellent value. We prefer the Cabernets and Merlots. Or ask your guests to bring a bottle of their favorite wine or what they like to drink. Plan on at least one 750 ml bottle of wine for every two-to-three people.

Be sure to have plenty of sodas, soft drinks, bottled water and coffee on hand for non-drinkers and "designated drivers."
