Self-Guided Freedom Trail Walk
Visit Boston's most historical sites
on the city's popular Freedom Trail.
Follow the red line in the sidewalk that
marks the 1 1/2 mile Freedom Trail. It will take you past 16 of
Boston's most historic sites, including the State
House and the Old State House (where the Declaration of Independence was
first read in Boston), Faneuil Hall, Boston Massacre Site, Paul Revere
House (the
oldest house in Boston), and the U.S.S. Constitution, nicknamed "Old
Ironsides."
You can join the red line anywhere
along the way or you can start at the beginning, at Boston Common's
Visitor Center.
