Boulder
— Spectacular Natural Beauty
Words just don't
begin to describe Boulder's spectacular natural beauty — it
is
one of the most scenic (and one of our favorite) destinations in
Colorado.
Nestled in the foothills
of the Rocky Mountains, Boulder is located approximately
35 miles northwest of downtown Denver.
Boulder sits at 5,400 feet above
sea level — some of its hiking and mountain trails
climb 7,000-10,000 feet. As
you can imagine, the views are incredible.
Boulder Canyon
Boulder Canyon is a popular
locale for picnicking, hiking, rock-climbing, mountain-biking...
and more. Visit Boulder Falls — the scenic
70-ft-high waterfalls are located a
short distance up Boulder Canyon.
The Flatirons
— Incredible Rock Formations
Its famous
foothills, known as the Flatirons, are popular with hikers the
world over. These incredible rock formations are accessible via
hiking trails from Chautauqua
Park — the views
are breathtaking.
Flagstaff Mountain
— Spectacular Boulder Views
Take the famous windy road up Flagstaff
Mountain to see the most amazing rock formations and views
of Boulder and the Plains — from 1,300 feet above the
city.

Fun Year-Round Recreational Activities
Boulder is a "must-see" destination, especially if you're
visiting Colorado for the first time. Enjoy a
wide range of fun summer and winter recreational activities — and
like Denver, the sun shines over 300 days a year.
Based on its proximity to the mountains, Boulder's
winters are relatively mild, however expect ample amounts of snow.
