- The historical Brown Palace Hotel is Denver's only Mobil Four-Star and AAA Four-Diamond hotel.

Room 825 was once known as the "Western White House" to President Eisenhower and the first lady Mamie, who considered Denver her hometown.

During the August 2008 Democratic National Convention, the hotel got into the convention spirit and honored Obama (who won the support of Ike's granddaughter Susan) by renaming the "Eisenhower Presidential Suite" the "Barack Obama Suite."
