Description & Atmosphere
Dave, you were right — everything in NYC is bigger and the
sushi here is no exception! We've never seen anything like it, certainly
not in the San Francisco Bay Area. One of three locations, the Midtown
Monster Sushi really lives up to its name. Sushi here is more than
twice the size of what we're used to back home. The restaurant has
a long narrow dining room with a small sushi bar just off the main
entrance. Fun and casual atmosphere.
Food
Fresh, high-quality "monstrous" sushi makes Monster Sushi
a favorite amongst tourists and locals alike. Awesome presentation
— each dish is a masterpiece. Everything is good, but here
are our recommendations: Split a couple of appetizers with your
group — Soft Shell Crab, Chilean Sea Bass, Edamame, and Cooked
Assorted Fish Salad.
Monster Rolls & Godzilla Rolls
Be sure to try their famous Monster Roll — in Monster
or Baby Monster sizes (filled with
eel, shrimp, avocado, asparagus, mushroom,
flying fish roe and spinach). Another standout includes the Godzilla
Roll (spicy tuna with avocado and flying fish roe on the outside)
- deeelicious! (See photo above.)
Fabulous assorted sushi must-haves include the Unagi (eel), Maguro
(tuna), White Tuna and Super White Tuna. All-in-all a delightful...and
yes...filling meal. Come with an appetite!

Private Party Room
Monster Sushi has several locations — each a fun place for
a Team Event or a party. The food is amazing and the portions are
huge (check out the photo below). The restaurant also offer a selection
of Gift Items, including baseball caps, mugs and T-shirts — fun
giveaways for your Team.
