Description & Atmosphere
No trip to Manhattan would be complete without a visit (or two) to a
classic New York Deli. And there are certainly no shortages of them
in New York City.
The Stage Deli is one of our favorites — we
sure wish there was one in the San Francisco Bay Area.
We actually prefer it to the famous Carnegie
Deli, located just down the street.
Stage and screen celebrities often stop by this bright, bustling
deli to enjoy their favorite "Stage Specialty Triple Decker" Sandwiches.
Go with an appetite because portions are HUGE.
The menu features delicious homemade Knishes, Soups, Fried Kreplach,
Cheese Blintzes, Smoked Fish, Fresh Salads... and Chopped Liver & Potato
Latkes like you'll never find in California!
Enjoy a variety of huge Specialty
one of our visits here, I split a Pastrami on Rye (see photo
below) and still couldn't finish it!
In true "New York Deli" fashion, the Stage brings you a delicious
plate of Sour and Half-Sour Pickles after you place your order...
and they're still FREE!
Yummy New York Cheesecake
Be sure to save room for dessert. During a recent visit, we split two gigantic
slices of Stage Deli Cheesecake (Plain and award-winning Strawberry-topped
pictured below) among six of us!
