Tavern on the Green
Visitor Center & Gift Shop
On October 15, 2010, the former Tavern on the Green restaurant building became the Tavern on the Green Visitor Center & Gift Shop, run by the Central Park Conservancy while the City works to return a permanent restaurant to the location.

In the meantime, four mobile gourmet food vendors are set up on the outdoor terrace, including Ladle of Love, Pera Mediterranean Brasserie, Rickshaw Dumpling Truck and Van Leeuwen Artisan Ice Cream.

Tavern on the Green
Visitor Center & Gift Shop

The former Tavern On The Green restaurant — a popular setting in Hollywood movies — was frequented by tourists and locals alike. It was particularly stunning at night, especially following a romantic carriage ride through Central Park.

The legendary New York City hotspot was a perfect destination for celebrating a special occasion, group events, corporate parties and garden receptions. During the Holiday Season, it was absolutely magical.

In addition to its classic American food, Tavern On The Green — a Wine Spectator award-winner — offered diners one of New York City's largest selections of fine wines.
