Steeped in history, Greenwich Village was once home to famous writers, poets and artists, including Edgar Allan Poe, Mark Twain, Walt Whitman, Norman Rockwell, Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, Willem de Kooning... to name a few.

The Beat Generation started here in the 1950s — Bob Dylan, Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsburg and Dylan Thomas frequented the area. Today, there are a few celebrities who reside in the Village — keep a look-out next time you're in the area.
