South Street Seaport (also known as The Seaport) is a thriving waterfront community with magnificent old sailing ships and a multilevel complex of shops, outdoor cafés and restaurants, live entertainment — and a summer food market. It's a fun place to visit for New Yorkers and tourists alike.

Located in the Financial District in Lower Manhattan (see Google Map below), the popular tourist attraction draws big crowds, especially on weekends and during peak summer months — it's also a popular singles scene after work. Enjoy fresh seafood while dining al fresco at one of the waterfront restaurants— great people-watching!

South Street Seaport is also one of the stops on the Double-Decker Bus Sightseeing Tour — you can hop-on-or-off here at your leisure.
