Beijing — China's Capital
For more than 800 years, Beijing was home to 33 emperors of four great
Dynasties. Previously known as Peking by the Western world (before 1949), today
Beijing is the capital of the People's Republic of China.

"A journey of a thousand miles
must begin with a single
step."
Lao-tzu

There are more attractions in Beijing than
in any other city in China. It is also the nation's

contrast to Shanghai's bustling business
metropolis.
