According to the Guinness Book of Records, Whitechapel Bell Foundry is Britain's oldest manufacturing company.

The bell that tolls at Big Ben was cast here in 1858 — it's the largest bell that was ever cast at Whitechapel. Other famous bells at the Foundry include the original Liberty Bell (1752) and the Great Bell of Montreal.

Foundry Tours are available on select Saturdays only (on a first-come first-served basis) and must be pre-booked well in advance.
