White Sandy Beaches

Atlantis Beach, Atlantis Beaches, Paradise Island Beaches, Bahamas Beaches

The beaches at Atlantis are stunning — miles of white-powdered sand and clear warm aqua waters.

Atlantis Beach
Formerly known as "Cabbage Beach," Atlantis Beach is the most popular beach at Atlantis...and for good reason. Its beautiful white sandy beach stretches for miles (photos above and below).

Atlantis guests are provided beach lounge chairs free of charge. We recommend that you get to the beach early to secure one of the "shaded-covered" lounge chairs — they're more popular than the regular beach chairs — especially if you're planning on spending all day at the beach.

Beach Water Sports
Looking for a little more adventure? Indulge in an array of exciting water sports right off Paradise Beach — Parasailing, Banana Boats, Jet Skis.

Hair-Braiding & Beach Shopping
Some women opt to have their hair braided while sitting out in the sun...others like to shop. Locals walk the beach selling their wares — coral, shell and beaded jewelry, sarongs, t-shirts, and fun Bahamian souvenirs. Be sure to bargain — it's half the fun! Note: This isn't like some of the resorts we've visited where they constantly hassle you — if you're not interested, they'll just keep walking.

Cove Beach
Cove Beach is more protected than Paradise Beach.
It's ideal if you're looking for a beach that's quiet and a little less-crowded. The new luxury Cove Atlantis Tower overlooks Paradise and Cove Beaches.

Enjoy a leisurely walk or early morning jog along Cove Beach —
it has great views.
Or just relax, bask in the sun and enjoy doing nothing at all.

Beach Bar
The Beach Bar overlooks miles of white sandy beach (photos below). Located on Paradise Beach, it's a fun place to hang out after a day on the beach. Enjoy cocktails and tropical drinks...and people-watching. Live entertainment.

Bahamian Cocktails
During your stay at Atlantis, be sure to try a Goombay Smash (Bacardi Gold Rum, Bahamian Coconut Rum, Pineapple Juice, Lemon Juice and a dash of Angostura Bitters) or a
Bahama Mama (Bacardi Gold Rum, Nassau Royale Liqueur, Pineapple and Orange Juices) — both drinks are refreshing and pack quite a hit.

Note: Each day, Atlantis guests
are given a different colored plastic bracelet to put on before picking up their beach towels — this identifies them as a guest of the Atlantis resort.
