Wine Country

World-Renowned Wine Country
Destination
Napa Valley is undeniably one of the most
naturally beautiful destinations in the world. Located
approximately one hour north of San Francisco,
the world-renowned wine and tourist destination is visited by millions
of people every year — is a charming place
to
get away from it all, relax,
and have FUN!
Fun Things To Do
There's so much to do and see in Napa Valley — fun wineries and wine-tasting tours, fabulous gourmet restaurants, luxurious spas, hot-air ballooning, shopping... and more! We get calls from around the world asking for our recommendations — so we've put together a list and a brief description of some FUN Things To Do when visiting Napa Valley. in Napa Valley
Wine-Tasting Retreat
With hundreds of wineries, gourmet restaurants, fun tasting rooms, fine
art galleries, boutique shopping, and relaxing spas, it's no wonder
that Napa Valley has become a magnet for tourists and locals alike, especially during Harvest Season or "Crush" (depending on the weather, late-Aug/mid-Sept to mid-Oct).
Make the most
of your visit to Wine Country. Be sure to taketime
to visit all the towns of Napa Valley — Yountville (one of our favorite places to stay), St. Helena, Oakville,
Rutherford, Napa, and Calistoga.
Napa & Sonoma Wine Country Tour
If you're visiting San Francisco (and love wines),
take a Fun Day Trip to Napa & Sonoma Valley. Better yet,
if you don't want to worry about drinking and driving, take a Napa
& Sonoma Valley Wine Country Tour (from San Francisco)
and leave the driving (and parking) to someone else. Note: California
has very tough drinking and driving enforcement. Tour departs from
centrally located San Francisco hotels and airport hotels — so
sit back and enjoy the scenery and beautiful California vineyards.
Napa Valley Mustard
Festival
The Napa Valley Mustard Festival takes place every
year during Mustard Season — usually around the end of January
through March — a
beautiful time of year to visit.
Yountville Festival of Lights
Our two favorite times to visit Napa Valley are during the Harvest Season and over the Holidays — during Yountville's Festival of Lights.
Getaway Retreat
Treat your honey, top performers and
VIP clients to a
Wine-Tasting
event at one of Napa Valley's acclaimed wineries.
Note: Many Napa Valley wineries charge between $20-50 for tastings (and more for tours) and
in many cases, require appointments and credit
card
numbers for visits (no shows can
be charged if they fail to cancel
48 hours in advance).
However, there are still some Napa Valley wineries
that offer wine-tastings at a nominal fee — and as
an alternative, the wineries in nearby Sonoma Valley, San Francisco's
East Bay, and
the
Monterey Peninsula
offer good value too.
