Marina Green
Marina Green
Located by Fort Mason, the Marina Green overlooks
the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Angel
Island and San Francisco
Bay. The large grassy area is surrounded by a jogging track and a walking path overlooking the bay — it's a popular destination
with tourists and locals alike. Take a long leisurely walk along the
Marina Green to Crissy Field, Crissy
Field Beach and Fort Point. In our
opinion, there are NO better views in the world!
People come here to picnic with
their families, fly their kites, walk their dogs, exercise, jog,
bicycle... you get the idea. One end of the Marina Green (near
Crissy Field and Crissy
Field Beach) features
a grassy volleyball area — another popular hangout for sunbathers
and people-watchers.
Fleet Week at the Marina Green
The Marina Green is also one of the best viewing areas to see
the U.S. Navy Blue Angels over San Francisco Bay during the
annual Fleet Week Celebrations in October.

America's Cup 2012-2013
The America's Cup World Series 2012 opening event took place in San Francisco — thousands of spectators flocked to the Marina Green to watch the regattas in SF Bay (second series races take place during October's Fleet Week). The America's Cup Village is also located at the Marina Green. The 34th America's Cup 2013 races take place July-September, 2013.

at the far end of the Marina Green, by Crissy Field (photo below).
