Lombard Street —
World's Crookedest Street

The Crookedest Street
in the World
Lombard @ Hyde
San Francisco
Known as the "Crookedest Street
in the World,"
Lombard Street (at Hyde) is a sight to behold!
Not only is the road
crooked, it's also very steep a 40-degree slope, to be exact.
This unique zigzag street is lined with houses and beautifully
manicured gardens.

When we are entertaining visitors from out-of-town
especially during their first-time trip to San Francisco we
like driving them down Lombard Street. It's always a thrill to
adults
and kids
alike.
 You
can also walk down Lombard Street or
UP the zigzag hill, if you're feeling energetic and want the exercise!

The views from the top of Lombard Street are
stunning too —
Coit Tower (photo above)
and Alcatraz Island (photo below) stand
out so don't forget your camera. Even the Cable Cars stop
at the top of Lombard Street (on Hyde)
to let people off to take
photos.
