San Francisco Earthquakes
San Francisco is famous for a LOT of things... including earthquakes. The city's two most famous earthquakes were in 1906 and 1989.
1906 San Francisco Earthquake
April 18, 2006
marked the 100-year anniversary of The Great San Francisco Earthquake

it still ranks as one of the most significant earthquakes
of all time.
1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake
The October 17, 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake was one of the strongest northern California earthquakes in recent
memory.
