Baker Beach

Baker Beach
Baker Beach is San Francisco's most scenic beach — and one of the
most popular. Its one-mile stretch of sandy beach lies at the foot of
rugged cliffs and steep bluffs. The vantage point from the beach offers
magnificent panoramic views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Marin Headlands.

Pack a picnic lunch, relax, take a leisurely walk or jog along the
beach, explore the rocks and enjoy the view — sunsets here
are spectacular. Be prepared for crowds, especially on hot sunny
days. Facilities include restrooms, picnic tables and BBQ grills.
No beach fee.
NOTE: Large waves, dangerous surf and powerful riptides make Baker
Beach unsafe for swimming. If you do take a dip, be prepared — the
water is COLD.
