Ferry Building Marketplace
— Fun for Foodies!
— Cafes, Restaurants & Shops
FUN Waterfront Venue
Located within the historic Ferry
Building along the Embarcadero, at the foot of Market Street, the
Marketplace is a fun place to hang-out and relax, meet friends, eat,
shop, walk and people-watch. The popular waterfront
venue is frequented by locals, visitors and foodies alike. Our favorite
time to come here is on Saturdays (during Farmers
Market hours) — be prepared
for crowds.
The spacious indoor
Marketplace has a variety of fun cafes, restaurants, small eateries
and gourmet shops — offering everything from
coffee, chocolate, ice-cream, local fresh fish and meat, to organic
produce,
seasonal
herbs, specialty foods, and fine wines. There's even a Caviar Cafe
offering a signature caviar tasting menu — and a popular
Oyster Bar overlooking San Francisco Bay.
FUN on Saturdays (8am-2pm)
If you don't mind the crowds, come to the Marketplace
when the Farmers
Market is
in full swing — it's the place
to be on a Saturday morning in San Francisco.

Artisan Specialties
If you're a cheese lover (and we are BIG time), be
sure to stop by the Cowgirl
Creamery Artisan Cheese Shop and check out
their incredible selection of cheeses from
France, England, Italy, Spain, Greece, U.S. and Canada — bet
you won't go home empty-handed!
