Golden Gate Yacht Club (GGYC)
— Home of America's Cup
San Francisco's Golden Gate Yacht Club was founded in 1939 — today the Marina waterfront venue is more popular than ever.
Located on the same block as the St. Francis Yacht Club, the smaller Golden Gate Yacht Club (GGYC) holds sailing races throughout the year — and offers spectacular views of San Francisco Bay, the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Angel Island and Marin.
The Golden Gate Yacht Club is proud to be the home club of BMW Oracle Racing — winning team of the 33rd America's Cup on February 14, 2010.
America's Cup Trophy
The GGYC is also home to the America's Cup Trophy (pictured right). The silver Cup will spend at least half its time in San Francisco between now and the next America's Cup. The rest of the time, it will tour the world. Thousands of fans are expected to visit the club for a peek at the trophy.
34th America's Cup in SF
On December 31, 2010 San Francisco was chosen to host the 34th America's Cup in 2013 — the city beat out Newport, Rhode Island and Italy to host the world's premier regatta.

Meetings & Special Events
The Golden Gate Yacht Club is available for off-site meetings, special events and weddings. The waterfront facility offers two rooms, both with spectacular SF Bay views and full bar:
The Commodore Room
Located on the upper Club Level, the Commodore Room seats up to 140 guests for dinner and up to 200 for a meeting.
The Burgee Room
The more intimate Burgee Room accommodates up to 120 guests for a sit-down meal and 175 for a meeting.
Free parking. Dock reservations can also be made in advance of your event.
