San Francisco Parking Meters are very expensive these days. The
meters eat quarters like crazy.
Buy a San Francisco MTA Parking Meter Card and eliminate the bag
of quarters you will need each time you park at a meter.
The card is available for use in approximately 23,000 single-space
and 250 multi-space electronic meters in San Francisco. They
come in $20 and $50 amounts. You can purchase a card online or
at a local retail store.
