User Experience:
We bought and installed an Apple TV box over Thanksgiving Weekend (last year). Apple TV is very easy to install. There are only 2 wires to set up — you plug one wire into the TV and and the second wire into the electric plug... and you're ready to go! It really is that easy :)
Apple TV Tips: You need one HDMI cable to connect Apple TV to your HDTV (it doesn't come in the box). Amazon sells the cable for $7. Target, Apple and other stores sell them for $20-$40 (I know because I looked). We bought our HDMI cable from Amazon for $7.

The Apple iPad Tablet is one of the most significant computer products announced in the last 10 years. And over the next five years, you will buy less and less Desktops and Laptops... and more Tablets from all manufacturers. This is a big deal!
Apple priced the iPad 2 at $499 (for the Wi-Fi version) and no other vendor has been able to compete with another 10" Tablet at a lower price. There are a few other Tablets with 7" screens (Like the Samsung Tab - which is a good product), however, the small screen does make a big difference in almost every aspect of using it. In addition, the Apple system of iTunes, Music, Video, Rentals, Applications, Podcasts, Internet Browsing, and Games is just so much better than all the competition at this time.
If you are thinking of buying a Laptop, PC or Mac for a loved one this Holiday Season, you should really look at buying an Apple iPad. The iPad is the only computer I would buy a Grandparent, Parent or Young Child — it is so much easier to set up, use and maintain than a PC, Laptop or Mac. There are free classes in Apple Stores and the iPad works with all the other Apple products including: iTunes, iPads, Macs, Apple TV and more.
