Travel - New York
Albany, NY

Albany is
home to the New York State Capitol (photo above). Built in 1899,
the
Government
building
houses
the
Great
Western "Million Dollar" Staircase
and the Legislative Chambers. Guided
tours are available.

The
city has some amazing and unique architecture — our
favorite is The Egg (pictured above) — the Center for the
Performing Arts is located in downtown Albany, at the Empire State
Plaza (photo below). The Egg is also available
for Corporate Receptions, VIP Events and Private Parties.

here every year. The festival, held in early May, marks the beginning
of Spring.

enjoy Free Summer Concerts at Albany Riverfront Park's 800-seat
amphitheater.

Similar to
New
York
city's Greenwich
Village, it has lots
of little
restaurants,
cafes and shops.
Picnic in Lincoln Park. The popular city park
has the largest public swimming pool in the country. During winter
months, the
park offers the best sleigh-riding in Albany. It is also home
to the Martin Luther King, Jr. memorial and the
Missing Persons Memorial.
History
Albany is steeped in history and Dutch heritage.
Dutch and American natives first settled here, hence all the Dutch
architecture.
