Our Top Ride Picks
Splash Mountain
(Frontierland)
This is by far one of the best rides at Disneyland and worth
waiting in line for! Be prepared to get a little wet…but
don't worry, it doesn't take long to dry off afterwards. The
11-minute log ride takes you through swamps
and bayous and down waterfalls, culminating in an exciting 52-foot drop (at
a 45-degree angle) at a top speed of 40 miles per hour.
Space Mountain
(Tomorrowland)
Get
your thrills as you blast into space on this wild fun ride — bet
you'll want to ride it twice. Fun for Big Kids.
It's A Small World
(Fantasyland)
This ride is sure
to bring a smile to your face as you cruise around the world — it
is still one of our all-time favorites. Fun for any age. Sing along
with the dolls and see if you can guess all the different countries.
We're still humming that tune...
Peter Pan's Flight
(Fantasyland)
Escape on this cute fantasy flight to Peter Pan's Never
Land.
Pirates of
the
Caribbean
(Adventureland)
Enjoy this classic Pirates of the Caribbean boat ride
adventure.
Big Thunder
Mountain Railroad (Frontierland)
Take an exciting three-minute roller
coaster ride through the wilderness.
The Haunted Mansion
(Liberty
Square)
If
you've always wanted to see a ghost, don't miss this attraction.
Great special effects!

Wishes Nighttime Spectacular — Musical
Fireworks Extravaganza
This amazing musical show
features a dazzling display
of fireworks, stunning pyrotechnic
effects, and all your favorite Disney characters, including
Jiminy
Cricket, Pinocchio, Cinderella, Ariel, and Peter
Pan.
Share a Dream Come True Parade
Don't miss Main Street's colorful Share a Dream Come True Parade — between
Town Square on Main Street, U.S.A. and Frontierland. Outrageous floats,
hundreds of performers and every Disney character imaginable. Best
views for picture-taking
are at curbside on Main Street or Town Square.
Spectromagic Parade
(on Special Nights)
This sensational nighttime parade is Disney magic at its best! Mickey leads
this dazzling musical parade which features millions of twinkling lights, Disney
performers and spectacular floats. Parade Tips
The best place to watch the parade (and take photographs) is at curbside,
approximately halfway down Main Street. In this position, the parade is literally
coming right at you! Be sure to get your spot early (minimum of one hour
prior to parade) because it gets VERY crowded. People-watching makes the
time fly by. We've watched the parade from the center of the platform
at Walt Disney
World
Railroad
depot.
The view (from above) was spectacular, but not as awesome as being curbside!
Walt Disney World Railroad
Board the Walt Disney World Railroad to get to your destination and give your
feet a rest...they'll need it! Trains stop at Main Street, U.S.A., Frontierland
and Mickey's Toontown Fair.
Rides / Attractions Tip:
Get in the
Left Line
Many Disney rides and attractions have two lines. For some reason, (as we read
in Steve Birnbaum's guide) we found that most people get into the line
on the right
vs.
the left.
In all probability, the left line will be shorter. We don't know why, but it
happened time and time again!
